Leading international professional services company, GHD, has
strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of New
Zealand senior manager Derek Crombie.
Crombie is responsible for GHD’s South Island operations in New
Zealand, and has over 34 years experience as a civil engineer,
project manager and company director.
A former Director of City Care Limited and General Manager of
Montgomery Watson Harza (MWH), Crombie specialises in managing
client relationships, business strategy planning and development,
and risk management.
Says GHD’s Chairman, Clive Weeks, "Derek brings to the Board a
keen focus on managing client relationships and generating new
business growth. His appointment is a reflection of his performance
and leadership, and of GHD’s growing diversity and global
focus.
"In addition to supporting the growth of GHD offices in the
Otago and Southland regions, Derek will lead the establishment of a
new GHD office in Queenstown, to better respond to clients and play
a larger role in the infrastructure growth of the region."
Crombie holds of Bachelor of Engineering and a New Zealand
Certificate of Engineering, and is a Fellow of the New Zealand
Institute of Management and Member of the New Zealand Institute of
Directors.
