GHD has opened a project office in Griffith, further
strengthening the leading international professional professional
services company’s presence in southern New South Wales.
The opening of the Griffith office is part of GHD’s commitment
to extend services in regional areas and provide clients with
strong local knowledge and support.
"GHD’s new Griffith office strengthens ties with government and
private sector clients and ensures that Griffith clients access
top-rate professional services skills. We look forward to a strong
and fruitful future in Griffith," says GHD’s Stuart Clark.
The new Griffith office operates in conjunction with other GHD
offices in Wagga Wagga, Shepparton, Mildura, Bendigo and
Albury-Wodonga, providing Griffith clients with expanded services
including Irrigation, Water Resources, Planning, Civil Engineering,
Environmental Sciences and Food & Agribusiness. GHD opened it’s
Wagga Wagga office in 2006, and the company is ranked 65th in
Business Review Weekly’s Top 500 Private Companies 2007.
GHD has worked with several high-profile clients in the Griffith
area on projects such as the reconstruction of Kooyoo Street, the
Griffith Airport Upgrade and assessment of the proposed Lake
Wyangan residential estate. GHD is also a member of the
International Centre of Water for Food Security (ICWFS), a new
water research centre based at Charles Sturt University that aims
to foster regional and international cooperation and knowledge
transfer in water science and technology. As part of its ICWFS
involvement, GHD hosted a ‘Sustainable Irrigation Futures’ workshop
in Griffith last month. The workshop provided information on topics
such as ensuring true water savings through effective planning,
monitoring and evaluation in order to promote more sustainable
irrigation practices.
