GHD Wagga Wagga was recently awarded a Wagga Wagga Chamber of
Commerce and Industry Golden Crow Outstanding Business Award 2007
in the category Excellence in Business Development Award (11+
staff).
The Award was presented at a gala dinner event on 19 October,
and recognizes GHD’s business development strategy and
implementation. The strategy encompasses the development of staff,
clients and marketing, and a strong commitment to the local
community and environment.
Says GHD Wagga Wagga Office Manager of Stuart Clark, "It's an
honour to be recognised for our business development efforts and
strong connection to Riverina local and business communities. Since
the opening of GHD Wagga Wagga in 2006 we have grown rapidly and
have recently opened a project office in Griffith. This Award
inspires us to continue with our business development efforts and
further expand our services."
Adds GHD Operating Centre Manager Rob Knott, "The Award is
fantastic recognition of the impressive efforts of our GHD Wagga
Wagga team in setting up this successful new office."
GHD's Wagga Wagga office was opened in May 2006 with two staff.
GHD had already contributed to several major projects in the area,
and established the Wagga Wagga office to provide a wide range of
professional services to clients in the Riverina. GHD Wagga Wagga
now employs 16 staff, and is recognised as GHD’s fastest growing
start-up in Australia.
Says Clark, "This is testimony to the attractiveness of Wagga
Wagga for new staff, and the quality of the services that we
provide our clients."
GHD employs 6000 people in a network of offices throughout
Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, the
United Kingdom and Europe.
