Leading international professional services company, GHD, has
strengthened its presence in Queensland with the acquisition of
local engineering and environmental consultancy Leddy Sergiacomi
& Associates (LSA).
In operation since 1983, LSA provides a range of civil and
structural engineering, town planning, project management, and
environmental services to a variety of clients in both the public
and private sectors.
Says GHD’s South Queensland Operating Centre Manager, John
Baird, “With more than 75 staff joining us, and their offices in
Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Gympie, Caloundra and Spring Hill which GHD
will maintain, the integration of LSA will help to create a strong
presence with a broad scale and breadth of operations, which will
significantly benefit our clients.
"Growing our operations in Queensland is a strategic move that
will allow us to more effectively compete in this developing
region, and enhance our reputation as a major project
deliverer."
The merger of the two organisations combines GHD’s international
experience and capability and LSA’s local knowledge, capabilities
and relationships to form an impressive service delivery team in
Queensland.
"We knew that LSA was a good fit for our business because of
their focus on their clients, people and performance," says
Baird.
The former Directors of LSA – Geoff Leddy, John Leddy and Rob
Sergiacomi – will be taking up a range of Senior Management roles
in Business Development and Operations.
