New leadership for international company in Bunbury

Leading international professional services company GHD has appointed Gerrit Strauss as Bunbury Office Manager.

Strauss, a Principal Civil Engineer with over 13 years’ experience, has a forward-thinking approach to management that embraces the region’s economic climate, and is excited by the prospects in the region.

Says Strauss, "These are exciting times for Bunbury, as it is one of the fastest growing regions in Western Australia (WA), and boasts a wealth of opportunities. GHD is currently involved in several major projects including the New Perth to Bunbury Highway, Bunbury Business Park, MillBridge Private Estate and the Harvey Pipe Project. We also have a continued involvement in several upgrade projects in the residue drying area at Worsley Alumina."

GHD is pursuing an active growth strategy as part of the company’s commitment to meeting the increasing needs of clients in the region, both in the public and private sector.

"We are ideally positioned to continue providing multidisciplinary services to our existing clients, whilst expanding into new horizons," Strauss says.

"By building on our existing presence in the region, the needs of our clients will be better serviced. This will involve an expansion in capabilities and additional staff resources."

Strauss had worked in GHD’s Perth office for over two years in the Geotechnical group managing a range of multidisciplinary projects, before being appointed as Office Manager for GHD’s Bunbury office.
