Leading international professional services company GHD has appointed Stephen Sim as Office Manager, Geelong.

Prior to this appointment, Sim held a key role in GHD’s Water team in Geelong. He also worked for GHD’s Water Technology group in the mid-1990s. Sim is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in the management of water infrastructure projects, and has worked for both Local Government and a major water authority. He has lived in Geelong for many years and has strong links with the local community.

Says Sim, "I am looking forward to building on the strong foundations and success that GHD’s Geelong office has achieved to date. The office has grown from two to 35 staff since it opened three years ago, exceeding all business targets. GHD Geelong now boasts a diverse and capable team offering technical skills, local knowledge and an understanding of our clients’ businesses in Geelong."

Sim will meet with key clients and local business contacts at a 3rd anniversary event to be held in Geelong tonight.

"GHD’s third year in Geelong is a real milestone for us, and we want to celebrate with our clients and business contacts. As Office Manager, I plan to build on GHD’s position as the foremost professional services provider in Geelong. Our rapid growth gives us capabilities and additional staff resources to better serve both public and private sector clients."

Sim takes over the role of Fraser Watt, who moves on to a new role as Operating Centre Manager for GHD in the Philippines, based in Manila.

GHD employs 6000 people in a network of offices throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
