Leading international professional services company, GHD, has
further strengthened its position in the delivery of professional
consulting services with the acquisition of Cameron Chisholm &
Nicol (NSW) Pty Ltd (CCN).
Cameron Chisholm & Nicol (NSW) Pty Ltd is one of the most
respected and successful architectural practices in its field of
operation with projects including the recently completed Innovation
Place, The Royal and Sun Alliance Building and Centennial Plaza to
its credit, to name only a few. The company has well-established
credentials in all aspects of architectural design, master
planning, interior design and contract administration services and
will complement GHD’s current buildings business in NSW/ACT, with
the introduction of leading edge sustainable architectural design
coupled with its vast experience in state-of-the-art architectural
design and documentation services.
GHD’s David Kinniburgh, Sydney Operating Centre Manager,
said: "The acquisition of Cameron Chisholm & Nicol (NSW)
Pty Ltd brings a new and complementary dimension to our business,
that will enable us to realise further opportunities for our
clients and further broaden our project base and delivery.
"The two businesses have strong synergies. GHD’s reputation for
providing building consulting services combined with Cameron
Chisholm & Nicol’s established focus on sustainable
architecture will enhance our capacity to deliver innovative and
environmentally sustainable solutions locally and internationally.
In Australia, we will build on our combined strength and reputation
to provide high quality, sustainable building design
solutions".
"Following the recent success of projects such as Innovation
Place in North Sydney, and the soon to be constructed Gore Hill
Technology Park, the combination of the two organisations will
provide a great platform to grow and further enhance our design
capabilities for building projects," said Nando Nicotra, Managing
Director of Cameron Chisholm & Nicol (NSW) Pty Ltd. “We look
forward to combining our existing people, skills and experience
with those of GHD to deliver superior performance and better
outcomes for our clients.” Nicotra adds, “In a rapidly moving
world, the provision of a multi-disciplinary consulting buildings
group at the forefront of Design and Technology disciplines will
only strengthen our ability to deliver high profile developments to
our prospective clients."
Kinniburgh said: "This acquisition builds upon GHD’s reputation
for providing professional services for the past 80 years and is
another step in our strategy of growing a diverse technical
capability in NSW/ACT. CCN will in particular, add to GHD's
capabilities in the broad area of sustainable development."
