Public transport specialist joins GHD New Zealand

Dr. Peter Stoeveken has joined international professional services company GHD as Principal Transportation Planner.

He will work internationally and nationally with GHD’s Transportation Logistics team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to New Zealand, particularly in demand oriented public transport systems, transport planning, and public transport optimisation.

Most recently based in Germany, Dr Stöeveken was Managing Director of the Centre for Integrated Traffic and Transportation Systems (ZIV), a subsidiary of Fraport Agm (owner-operator of Frankfurt Airport and associated operations), DB Regio German Railway and RMV-Rhine Main Public Transport Authority. He has worked extensively in Europe and on projects in Asia, the Americas, China and the Middle East.

Commenting on his appointment, Peter said, “The opportunities in the global transport market are significant and I am looking forward to building on GHD’s broad capabilities to continue to deliver innovative, cost-effective design, procurement and maintenance outcomes for transportation.”
