One of the world’s leading engineering, architectural and
environmental consulting firms, GHD has recently announced the
appointment of a new Global Market Leader for the Water
sector.
Chris Hertle, a Chemical Engineer with more than 25 years’
experience, will develop and strengthen the firm’s client and
stakeholder relationships within the global water industry.
Enhancing GHD’s offering in the industrial water and waste
management areas will be a key focus for Chris as he concentrates
on leveraging GHD’s global network to share water insight from
around the world.
Having joined GHD more than 16 years ago,
Chris is an active member of GHD’s Technical Services Advisory
Group and also played a key role in helping roll out GHD’s
Innovation program in 2008.
Chris aims to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions to clients
and leverage these outcomes to grow the firm. He has been involved
in numerous municipal and industrial water projects involving
advanced treatment for energy recovery and water recycling. Chris
was involved in the introduction of membrane bioreactors into
Australia.
Chris has presented many papers at national and international
forums and is currently a member of the Water Project Group for the
World Business Council for Sustainable Development. In securing his
position as Global Market Leader, Chris has successfully
demonstrated a practical approach to project solutions, and a
strong client relationship focus with stakeholders in water
utilities, industry and research organisations throughout the
world.
