One of the world’s leading engineering, architectural and
consulting firms, GHD, has appointed Warren Traves as Manager for
South Queensland, following the move from incumbent John Baird, who
will relocate to Qatar as General Manager – Middle East &
Europe.
Warren joined GHD as a graduate engineer in 1988. During
his time at GHD, he has worked in Brisbane, Cairns and
Manila. More recently, Warren has held the role of Global
Market Leader for Water and has spent a number of years on GHD’s
Strategy and Finance Committees.
Warren holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Science. He is a
Fellow of the Institute of Public Works Engineering and Engineers
Australia, and a Member of the Australian Water Association, the
International Water Association and the American Water Works
Association.
Warren’s extensive experience in the Australian and
international water markets, involvement in major projects such as
the Western Corridor Recycled Water Project and his commitment to a
collaborative approach to team building and project delivery will
ensure the continued success of GHD’s South Queensland
operations.
Commenting on his new role, Warren said, “South Queensland is GHD’s
largest operating centre. There continues to be great
opportunities for us across the state, and I hope to bring to the
role a broader sense of GHD as an international firm with an
Australian heritage, delivering world-class services to a
