GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, architectural and
environmental consulting firms, has appointed a new office manager
for its Gympie operations, which also service the surrounding North
and South Burnett regions.
Based in the Gympie office, Harold Lancaster
will oversee a small team of local consultants drawing on support
from Hervey Bay and Bundaberg GHD operations. Harold brings a
wealth of experience to the region having joined GHD almost 10
years ago in Brisbane. He relocated to Jakarta in an asset
management role in 2005 and was promoted to GHD Regional Manager –
South East Asia, Asset, Facilities & Maintenance Management in
2007. Prior to joining GHD, Harold worked for both Caloundra City
Council and Kingaroy Shire Council as the Corporate Asset
Manager.
GHD has contributed to a number of local and
regional projects including the design and documentation, civil
works and contract tender for the Southside Medical Centre, master
planning and water services for a major rural subdivision in Imbil
and town planning services for a proposed development in
Groundwater Road, Gympie. GHD also compiled data and associated
documentation to enable the development of the Gympie Regional
Council Planning Scheme in 2009.
Speaking of his appointment, Harold said “I’m
