GHD appoints new People Manager in New Zealand

GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, architectural and environmental consulting companies, has appointed Sharon Grant to the role of People Manager for New Zealand, with responsibility in the areas of leadership, people development, succession planning and staff engagement.

Sharon joins GHD from the role of Manager – Culture, Engagement and Diversity at the Bank of New Zealand. She has worked widely in a human resources capacity, as a self-employed HR contractor and in managerial roles with Harrison Grierson Consultants, Noel Leeming Group, Pacific Retail Group, and the former Countrywide Bank.

GHD Manager for New Zealand Gary Payne said, “Sharon’s nearly two decades of experience in people management have equipped her with supreme leadership and influencing skills. Her talent for nurturing team cohesion and commitment in a diverse professional services environment, combined with her abilities in multiple project management, change management and strategic and business planning, make her a huge asset to the GHD team.”

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Waikato, and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs.
