As part of an ongoing commitment to growing its offering in the Americas, GHD announced that it has integrated with water and wastewater engineering firm Commonwealth Engineering & Technology, Inc. Complementing GHD’s existing team in the region, CET will bring nearly 100 people in offices throughout Pennsylvania, serving local and state clients, including water agencies, municipalities, and special districts. The integration strengthens GHD’s position as an Engineers News Record (ENR) Top Ten global engineering firm in sewer and wastewater.

“CET brings exceptional capabilities in water and wastewater engineering to GHD’s thriving water business in the US,”comments Jerry Hook, GHD USA East Operating Center Manager.  “Their talented team of engineers, architects, and GIS professionals provides an excellent complement to GHD’s existing team.  CET adds depth and capabilities to our existing practice to deliver sustainable water solutions, particularly in advanced nutrient removal, asset management, desalination, industrial water and waste, water efficiency, and collection, conveyance and design of a broad range of treatment systems.”

Jeff Wendle, CEO of CET says “We are excited to join GHD.  CET has partnered with GHD on many projects and we share clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The trust and relationships built through those projects gave us the confidence to make our relationship more formal and lasting.  Joining with GHD provides us with a strong cultural fit, and access to substantially greater technical and management resources to support our local clients and communities.”

Richard Wankmuller, GHD General Manager Americas offers, “GHD has spent the last 83 years providing the most sustainable solutions to the water industry. CET’s local services in water and wastewater engineering combined with GHD’s existing global water offering, allow both groups to provide an enhanced offering to the water industry around the world.  CET’s broad range of technical capabilities also supports our Americas wide growth plans for the energy & resources, environment, property & buildings, and transportation markets.”
