One of the world’s leading engineering, architecture and
environmental consulting firms, GHD has received a letter of
commendation for its work in the community engagement sector in
Australasia. The International Association for Public Participation
(IAP2) Australasia congratulated GHD on its work in community
engagement and acknowledged the company’s strong and ethical work
practices.
In the correspondence, Kimbra White, IAP2 Australasia President
commented on the impact that GHD has had both on the community, and
the workforce, “…many of Australia’s practitioners have been
enabled to develop a strong foundation for their work as a result
of their careers with GHD.”
GHD’s Stakeholder Engagement teams work closely
with local communities, major infrastructure projects,
environmental initiatives and private entities to enable
transparent and considered communication for stakeholders.

Engagement commented, “To be sustainable, a decision, project or
operation needs to be economically viable, environmentally
responsible and socially acceptable.
“We aim to help our clients understand the social
impacts of operations or projects, enhance stakeholder

community networks and capacity. This commendation from IAP2
Australasia demonstrates we are achieving this goal.”
IAP2 Australasia promotes the values and leading
practices associated with involving the public in decisions that
impact their lives. IAP2 Australasia is a not for profit
association advancing the practice of community engagement and
delivering member support to over 1000 members.
