Clients of GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, architecture and environmental consulting companies, will benefit from ‘Mary squared’ when working with the firm’s Interior Architecture team. Mary White previously led the Hassell Interiors team, and joins GHD’s Interior Architecture Principal Mary Harben in leading the group to deliver spaces of distinction across the globe.

With a strong interest in creating healthy and enjoyable places for people, Mary White holds more than 20 years of experience  across commercial workplace strategy and design for both the private and public sector, including Education, Health, Justice and Leisure projects. She was the team leader for SA Water’s award winning, innovative and sustainable workplace, which has delivered tangible bottom line business benefits, including reinforcement of SA Water’s cultural change program.

Speaking of her appointment, Mary commented, “I’m passionate about workplace strategy and sustainability. I’m feeling confident that these interests align perfectly with what GHD does in this space.”

Mary has an extensive understanding of delivering sustainability advice on complex projects, with experience in leading clients through assessment by the Green Building Council of Australia and the National Australian Built Environment Rating Scheme (NABERS).

“Our global network will benefit greatly from Mary’s appointment. I’d like to think the knowledge build will be two-way, with our clients being the benefactors of this collaboration,” said Mary Harben, who manages GHD’s interior architects across the globe.

GHD works with local, state and federal government entities, alongside private clients and chains in providing concept design, drawings and finishes, design development, documentation, project management, facility assessment, HVAC services, and specialist lighting.
