Tripp receives Environmental Engineer Association Award

GHD Senior Project Manager Sandy Tripp, P.E., BCEE has been named the 2011 recipient of the Stanley E. Kappe Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE).

The award is presented to a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) to recognize “the performance of extraordinary and outstanding service contributory to the advancement of Academy objectives” and will be presented at an AAEE Awards luncheon at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on May 4.

Ms. Tripp has 29 years of engineering experience. She has served as project manager/lead engineer on numerous municipal water and wastewater projects covering all phases of engineering, from studies through design and construction. She has also been involved in the design of more than US350 million of water/wastewater treatment facilities and large diameter transmission mains.

Ms. Tripp is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland. She is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Water Environment Federation and the American Water Works Association. She was graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering.
