One of the world's leading engineering, architectural and
environmental consulting companies, GHD, has appointed Ross Young
to lead its water business in Australia. Ross joins GHD to provide
high level input to the company's large water authority clients
across Australia, and to further develop and strengthen
relationships with government bodies and regulators. He will
maintain the momentum of GHD's Client Care Program visits in the
water sector, working closely with global water and economics
teams.
Ross comes to GHD from the Water Services
Association of Australia (WSAA) where he was the Executive
Director. WSAA is the industry body that supports the Australian
Urban Water Industry. Its members and associate members
provide water and wastewater services to approximately 16 million
Australians and many of Australia's largest industrial and
commercial enterprises. The Executive of the Association retain
strong links with policy makers and legislative bodies and their
influencers, to monitor emerging issues of importance to the urban
water industry.

Mr Young's industry experience is preceded by
a Diploma of Horticultural Science, a Bachelor of Applied Science,
an MBA and a Graduate Diploma in Natural Resources Law from the
University of Melbourne. He is also Chair of the Global Water
Research Coalition, a non-profit organisation that serves as the
collaborative mechanism for water research across the globe.
