One of the world’s leading engineering, architecture and environmental consulting companies, GHD, has welcomed the UK’s John Brewer to its water and wastewater team. John has joined GHD in Qatar following a 3-year stint working on the New Doha Port Project. His heritage stems back to years of experience working with UK water utilities and consultancies.

“A shift in environmental and regulatory requirements, the quest for improvement of infrastructure efficiencies and a desire to reduce pollution has led to a variety of projects calling for integrated and innovative consultancy skills. I’m happy to join GHD in this regard,” comments John on his appointment.

John first worked in the Gulf in the 1980s, and has moved between the UK and Middle East in the years since. He has a keen interest in both water utility, and port and harbour marine works.

“Qatar has set itself a very ambitious vision for the future and there is a huge amount of work ahead. Planning, organizing and delivering the projects necessary to sustain the vision to achieve what are now hard deadlines will mean very interesting times ahead!”

GHD’s Manager - Qatar Cameron Gillanders offers, “GHD has proudly partnered PWA and Kahramaa for a number of years in Doha.  Our heritage in water, having established in the industry in Australia more than 80 years ago, and John’s fresh perspective means that we’re positioned to provide our clients with leading-edge solutions to the region’s water challenges.”
