GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, architectural and environmental consulting companies has been recognised as the Most Attractive Employer in Queensland by recruitment and HR services specialist Randstad.

The 2013 award stems from a special report produced by Randstad based on a survey of more than 7000 Australians that examines what employees find attractive in an employer. The rankings take into account 18 different factors, including workplace culture, job security, work-life balance, brand recognition and strength of management.

Warren Traves, Operating Centre Manager for South Queensland offers, “This is an impressive achievement for the company. It is a testament to the investment in our people and our commitment to a client-centred culture.”

Steve Shepherd, Group Director of Randstad concurs, “Winning the Queensland Randstad Award this year, following a strong result at the national awards over the last two years, demonstrates that GHD is a stand out company, knowing how to effectively create an authentic positive image in the eyes of the public.

“In terms of attractiveness, GHD ranked extremely favourably across all key criteria including strong management and leadership, interesting job content, career progression opportunities as well as quality learning and development opportunities.

“The company has done particularly well to distinguish itself from its industry counterparts and mining and resources employers across the state. GHD has a large number of projects currently underway in the Sunshine State, and it’s nice to see the company be recognised as offering great job opportunities and interesting job content for so many local workers.”

Randstad also named GHD the tenth most attractive employer Australia wide, the second year running it has finished top 10 in this category.
