One of the world’s leading engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services companies, GHD, has assembled global specialists for its Produced Water Seminar in Perth, Western Australia on 13 November.

The seminar will focus on the treatment and management of water produced during extraction of oil and gas. The discussion will explore how the right technology can help operators meet new Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Regulations.

The presenters include Colin Tyrie, founder of the Produced Water Society and President of Clean H2O Services; and Dick Meijer from Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, who developed the patented Macro Porous Polymer Extraction water purification process.

They will be joined by GHD specialists – Dr Konstantinos Athanasiadis (Principal Process Engineer), Dr Jill Woodworth (Principal Ecotoxicologist) and Dr Jose Romero (Principal Marine Scientist).

David Horn, GHD’s Manager – Environment in Western Australia, says, “We are committed to helping our oil and gas clients adapt to changing regulatory settings.
