GHD appoints Defence Leader

One of the world’s leading engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services companies, GHD, has announced the appointment of Ken Snell as Market Leader – Defence.

Ken was previously Engagement Manager at RPDE, a defence think tank bringing together government, industry and academia to accelerate capability development. Before joining the consulting industry, Ken has served for 25 years in the Australian Army. His skills include strategic planning, operations management, project management, scope definition, contract management and human resources management.

Jo Metcalfe, GHD’s Canberra and Southern NSW Manager, says, “We are delighted to welcome Ken, who will enhance our long-standing relationships with defence clients. GHD has extensive experience delivering a variety of innovative solutions in this sector, including major capital works programs. One of our current projects for the Department of Defence is Air 7000 Phase 2B - Maritime Patrol Aircraft Replacement Project. Our role on this project includes the design of facilities, infrastructure and airfield works for the introduction of the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft.”
