As part of an ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional
technical service to its clients in North Queensland, leading
engineering, architecture and environmental consulting company GHD
today announced that it has integrated with building services
engineering firm MGF Consultants (NQ).
GHD’s North Queensland Manager Jose Foruria said MGF Consultants
(NQ) would bring with them 15 people in offices in Cairns and
Townsville, making GHD the largest provider of property and
building engineering services in North Queensland.
“MGF Consultants (NQ) has a solid reputation in
North Queensland and has maintained a major market share in their
12 years of operation.
“Their talented team of electrical, mechanical and
acoustic engineers complement GHD’s existing building and
structures team perfectly and will allow us to offer an enhanced
range of services to our clients,” he commented.
“MGF Consultants (NQ) bring with them dedicated
skills in building services, GreenStar, thermal energy storage,
specialty and sports lighting, telecommunications, instrumentation
and motor control, HVAC, acoustics and Environmentally Sustainable
Design (ESD).
“They were responsible for the delivery of the
multi-award winning William McCormack Place Stage 2 in Cairns, the
first office building in the tropics to be awarded a 6 Green Star
rating by the Green Building Council of Australia, so they have
proven credentials as being leaders in their field.”
MGF Consultants (NQ) General Manager Rob Bufi said
the merger was an exciting milestone that provided an opportunity
to grow the business.
“This gives our staff a chance to work on a wider
range of larger projects not just here in North Queensland, but
around the globe,” Rob offered.
“Our team has very strong skills and capabilities
in the building and structures sector and I’m looking forward to
being able to nurture and develop these within GHD’s global
network.”
