While the recruitment process can vary across our company, the standard process for most roles at GHD is as follows:

All applications are submitted and managed through our confidential, online recruitment system. It should take you no more than 15 minutes to submit your application, which should include a covering letter and up-to-date resume.

Once you have completed your application, you will receive an automated response acknowledging that it has been received.

Telephone interview
If your application meets the criteria for the position, a member of our recruitment team may arrange an initial telephone discussion.

We believe the interview should be a two-way communication process. This is an opportunity for you to share information about your skills and experiences, and also obtain information about GHD and role you have applied for. While we will be determining if you have the skills, experience and knowledge required for the role, you will be deciding whether we are the right firm for you.

You will be asked behavioural-based interview questions that enable you to demonstrate how you have responded to, or handled, specific situations in your past. We encourage you to take the your time in answering questions and ensure that you describe the situation, the action you took and explain the outcome.

If you are successful in gaining a face-to-face interview, this will generally be with the hiring manager and a member of the GHD People team.

During the discussion, if you are unclear about a question or wish to clarify something, please ask.

Verbal reference checking
Before an offer is extended, two verbal references will be contacted. Please ensure that you have spoken with your referees and asked their permission before you provide their details to us.

To apply for GHD's Graduate Program please complete the online application form. We encourage you to view our Graduate Noticeboard for details of opening and closing dates as these vary depending on location.
