The recent increase in demand for Australia’s resources has
amplified pressures on export facilities for bulk commodities,
resulting in the need for Ports in particular to expand in order to
meet the growing demands.
The Port of Abbot Point is Australia’s most northerly deep water
coal port and is one of the few locations along Queensland’s east
coast where deep water is close enough to shore to harbour a deep
water port.
