Major waste water treatment plant for Perth

Perth’s next big waste water treatment plant is being designed to accommodate a future potential population of 800,000 people.

GHD has been engaged by the Water Corporation in Western Australia to design the Alkimos Waste Water Treatment Plant. GHD was chosen on the basis of its concept design and joins the Alkimos Water Alliance (AWA) to deliver this AUD80 million project. AWA comprises Multiplex, McMahon and Zublin.

Perth to Bunbury Highway

The Southern Gateway Alliance, comprising GHD Consulting, Leighton Contractors and WA Limestone in partnership with Main Roads Western Australia, was awarded the contract to build the AUD11 million new Perth to Bunbury Highway. Work on the project officially began on 21 December 2006 and continues throughout the southwest today.

GHD is providing consulting services in the disciplines of transport planning and traffic engineering, civil and structural design, geotechnical engineering, materials technology, environmental and sustainability.

Ashley Wright

Ashley Wright is GHD’s Operating Centre Manager for Western Australia. Well known within WA’s infrastructure industry for his leadership abilities, Ashley has played a key role in the development and success of the Operating Centre over the past six years using a collaborative approach to team building and project delivery.

Ashley joined GHD in 2004 and has since held a number of senior roles including SGM Transport, Service Line Leader Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering, Engineering Manager New Perth Bunbury Alliance, and Operations Manager WA.

Peter Tonkin

Peter Tonkin is GHD’s Business Development and Regional Offices Manager for Western Australia.  Originally part of the Perth Structural Engineering team, Peter spent nine years in Geraldton managing GHD’s MidWest regional office, before moving to the Northern Territory to gain valuable experience in developing and managing a thriving office in Darwin.
