Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Building Audits

GHD undertook a comprehensive building study and audit to Putra World Trade Centre, one of the Malaysia’s world-class conventions, exhibitions and corporate functions hall, sprawling over 1.7 million square feet. This 42-storey exhibition centre and UMNO headquarters combines the best of modern architecture with traditional Malay culture.

The exercise involved the overall building audits, and identifying the physical conditions of PWTC complex, which includes the tower block, conference halls, exhibition halls, and the internal surrounding with respect to structural integrity, observable defects, traffic obstruction, unpleasant structures and other existing features available at the centre.

Mixed Development Plan in Kuala Lumpur

One of GHD’s longest and most successful infrastructure development in Malaysia includes two major mixed development plans for Taman Maluri in Cheras and Happy Garden in Old Kuchai Road.

Spanning 285 and 300 acres respectively, these two projects have been continuing for 25 years and are still progressing today. Our company has provided structural, civil infrastructure, mechanical and electrical engineering services.

These projects are comprised of a full range of mixed development township planning of shops, terrace houses, flats condominiums, offices and infrastructure development of town centres. These developments have now become prominent townships in Kuala Lumpur.

Ir. Ab. Rahman Hashim

Ir Ab. Rahman is a company director for GHD Perunding Sdn. Bhd. He is also a regional office manager based in Kuantan. He manages the overall operations of Kuantan, Alor Setar, Kuala Terengganu and Ipoh. He also oversees business development and client relationship management for government business.

He is a civil engineer with over 20 years' experience in project management and civil engineering consultancies. He is involved in projects for the Malaysian government and private sector on the east cost of Peninsular Malaysia.

Ir. Ali Rahmat

Ir Ali is a company director for GHD Perunding Sdn. Bhd. He is also the project director for the mechanical group for GHD's building business in Kuala Lumpur, which includes heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), fire alarm system and hydraulics.

He is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years' experience in the planning, management, design and construction of mechanical building services. In addition, he is also a quality manager for the overall operations of the Kuala Lumpur office.

Ir. Tan Boon Ann

Ir Tan is a company director for GHD Perunding Sdn. Bhd. He is also the technical director for the electrical group based in Kuala Lumpur.

He has over 22 years' experience in the design and implementation of electrical installation for residential, educational, commercial and industrial buildings, infrastructures, water treatment and pumping electrical plants. In addition, he also has experience in high voltage distribution in up to 132kV substations, power system analysis and protection coordination.

Ir. Aaron Yeo Sze Loong

Ir. Aaron Yeo is the Director of GHD Perunding Sdn. Bhd. based in Kuching office, Sarawak, East Malaysia.

He has over 10 years of professional experience in the provision of water related infrastructure including water resource and water supply extraction, treatment and distribution systems, municipal wastewater and septic sludge treatment, as well as flood control pump station. He specialises in water treatment.
