Our talented people work with clients to create a brighter future for all New Zealanders. These professionals are architects, engineers, environmentalists, planners, scientists, strategists and technicians. We engage a global network of more than 8500 people to deliver bespoke solutions to your infrastructure challenges. Your challenges, your success, that’s what motivates us and shapes our business.

Established in Australia in 1928, GHD went on to begin their New Zealand operations in 1999. As you would expect from a company of our longevity and reputation, we understand markets and how they work. We aspired to be an integral part of New Zealand’s success, creating a legacy for our business out of service to clients and the wider industry. We also invest significantly in innovation because we like nothing better than finding you a new and better way of doing something.

We hope to leave a positive impression on the communities our projects impact, and encourage our people to be actively involved with community projects. We are actively involved with Habitat for Humanity in New Zealand, on new builds and renovation projects across the country. Through our GHD in the Community programme, GHD young professionals have travelled to countries such as Nepal, to assist in Habitat for Humanity village housing builds.

We also have a partnership agreement with Volunteer Services Abroad (VSA), with many of our people taking leave to work in developing countries.  Our young professional group also extends their support to Engineers Without Borders.

Our strength comes from living our core values – integrity, respect and teamwork. It starts with choosing to work with and for people who share these values and then doing what is necessary to achieve not just a good outcome, but the right outcome.

We are proud members of a number of industry bodies and associations in New Zealand including:

GHD operates from three hubs in New Zealand with a number of specialist project offices in the central and lower North Island.
