GHD’s Manukau office is located within the
heart of the most culturally-diverse area of Auckland. The office
works with clients in the infrastructure, transportation and
buildings sector. More recently the business has grown and
diversified to include property and urban development, planning and
environmental services.
Projects that have been led out of Manukau
include the award-winning Hamilton Water Treatment Plant, a
world-class water treatment facility and the largest UV
disinfection facility in Australasia. In the transportation sector
we have worked with Transfield Services on design and
implementation of a motorway ramp metering system at 50 sites in
the greater Auckland area, and with Transit New Zealand on a new
arterial link connecting two highways and providing a vital
transport corridor through a developed urban area.
The 190ha Highbrook Business Park is a
mixed-use development designed to accommodate up to 15,000 people,
making it one of the largest in New Zealand. Part of an
international design team working on the original concept, GHD
Manukau has played a key role in the planning, consent and
engineering design for supporting infrastructure.
