Oil & Gas

Population growth and lifestyle choice will continue to drive our appetite for oil and gas, even as we explore for renewable energy sources and grapple with the challenges posed by climate change. We help clients balance production and investment with demand in changing geo-political environments.

Investigate feasibility and access, process reserves economically and explore transport and logistics efficiencies with GHD.

From seabed sampling to seismic data studies, rig and platform surveys to environmental management plans and monitoring, GHD develops process facility design and production technology concepts to optimise asset management and development strategies across all facets of oil and gas processing, transmission and distribution.

Vital Inspections for Offshore Gas Platform

image

A demanding inspection schedule has helped the North West Shelf Venture’s third offshore gas production facility, the new Angel Platform, reach completion off the north-west coast of Australia.

The remotely operated Angel gas and condensate processing platform stands in 80 metres of water about 50 km east of the Venture’s existing North Rankin A production facility. Hydrocarbons will be produced through one processing unit with a capacity of up to 800 million standard cubic feet of gas a day and up to 50,000 barrels of condensate a day.
