Sports & Recreation

Sports and recreation facilities need to embrace a combination of form and function, and technical and social requirements, to emerge as spaces that celebrate optimum performance, interaction and relaxation. In recent years, GHD has been associated with the development of world-leading and community-enhancing sport and recreation facilities.

Our experience has included consultancy services for the architectural centrepiece of the 2006 Doha Asian Games, Khalifa Stadium; specialist services for Beijing Aquatic Park, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games; and design of the National Sports Complex, Central Stadium Hanoi, Vietnam.

From initial concept design, event and venue master planning, feasibility studies and community consultation, through to detailed design, engineering services and construction supervision, GHD delivers sustainable facilities that enrich the experiences of patrons, officials and performers alike.
