Bulk Liquid Chemicals Storage Facility Redevelopment

GHD was contracted for the re-development of this storage facility, which included the re-location of a number of chemical storage tanks as well as the addition of a number of new tanks (30 in total). The chemicals consisted of highly flammable products such as propylene oxide, benzene, acrylates, phenol and acrylonitrile.

The scope of the work covered the costing, development and design for the tank level gauging system, loading control system, ESD system, and fire and gas system. Our team covered the latest PLC/RTU/SCADA technology, and worked on plant reliability and ease of operation. They also worked on the specification for a new motor control centre, power distribution and overall plant lighting.

Other services extended to assisting in the construction/commissioning of the new development.
