RACV Resourt Inverloch - Recreation Centre

GHD has designed and managed RACV’s 32-ha new project, on a dramatic outlook over Andersons Inlet along theCape Paterson-Inverloch Road in Victoria.

The facility includes a main lodge, hotel accomodation, resturant, detached, self-contained cabins, group accommodation and a remote 'eco-lodge'. Onsite recreational facilities include a recreation centre, pool, tennis courts, exercise trails and walking trails, which feature interpretive points relating to the site’s natural features.

As part of the suite of new recreation facilities, GHD created a complex consisting of a swimming pool, gymnasium and multi-purpose recreation facilities. The wet-deck pool has been designed to provide panoramic views from Andersons Inlet around to the surrounding farmland. The glazed walls open up to lawns and viewing terraces on three sides to create the experience of an outdoor pool on summer days. The pool was designed to allow lap swimming, although a curved series of steps into the water also creates a resort feel. A childrens pool and sauna and spa are also provided.
