Sunshine Coast Industrial Park

The Sunshine Coast Industrial Park is the largest land subdivision ever carried out by the Queensland state governement. The park sits on 115ha and comprises 73 allotments, with 38 hectares retained as open space or as a conservation area.

GHD was engaged by the Queensland Department of Infrastructure and Planning to provide design, construction  contract management and project services, and has been involved from the early planning stage through to project completion.

The scale of the project can be appreciated by some of the services statistics: 6.4km of sewerage mains, 8.5kms of water mains and nearly 9km of electrical conduit.

A $63 million project, SCIP is the largest existing industrial precinct in the Sunshine Coast region and one of four major industrial areas being developed by the Queensland Government.

Developed in two stages, the first stage of the SCIP included 38 hectares of conservation and open space and a 115 hectare industrial estate with 73 lots ranging from 2,500m2 to over five hectares. The second stage of the park incorporates a further 20-30 hectares of potentially developable land and additional conservation areas.
