GHD has prepared the detailed master plan for Aquacity, a development located adjacent to the proposed Waterfront City in Vietnam’s Dong Nai province.   

The development is being undertaken by a consortia led by the diversified international corporation, VinaCapital, with participation from local organisations DonaCoop and An Phu Long JSC.

Beijing Technology Fortune Centre

The Fortune/Technology Centre is a major urban redevelopment project in the heart of Beijing. It has a projected budget in excess of USD$200,000,000.

Consisting of office, serviced apartment, commercial shopping mall and medium-rise residential development, the project occupies a full city block in Beijing and will incorporate extensive landscape works, exclusive sporting clubs and amenities.

Commonwealth Place

Located on one of Canberra’s most prominent vista’s the Commonwealth Place Forecourt project will promote pedestrian and user interaction with Lake Burley Griffin. The $3M project contains two jetty structures and a central sunken concrete bowl area.

The jetty’s are supported by 76 galvanised screwed steel piles and a galvanised steel substructure. The substructure is topped by over 7000 lineal metres of architecturally detailed fully recycled hardwood decking. The jetties and forecourts area feature custom designed mooring bollards, street furniture and life buoy/events power cabinets.

North Sapphire Beach Subdivision

GHD Coffs Harbour prepared the environmental impact statement (EIS) for a regional waste processing facility on the north coast of NSW.

Recognising the potential mutual benefits of regional waste management, Coffs Harbour City Council, Belligen Shire Council and Nambucca Shire Council worked together to develop a regional water processing facility to service the residents of each respective local government area.

Scottsdale Booster Station

Scottsdale Booster Station

The City of Scottsdale commissioned GHD to design Booster Pump Station Number 179 (BPS179) to provide water pressure to the downtown Scottsdale area. The station serves as a dual purpose facility. It supplies potable water at a higher pressure to serve new high rise commercial and residential condominium projects.  It also serves as a link to the downtown arts district. The project’s architecture complements the atmosphere of downtown Scottsdale.

Urban Design and Planning in Canberra’s University Precinct

A vibrant mixed-use residential, cultural and arts precinct, will create a ‘dynamic heart’ for Canberra that connects the city with the Australian National University.

The Childers Street project arose out of a Australian Capital Territory Planning and Land Authority’s (ACTPLA) City West Master Plan, which was completed in May 2004. The Childers Street precinct is part of a major focus on urban regeneration by the ACT state government.

Edward Lynch

Edward Lynch is an experienced professional with wide ranging skills in urban design, architecture, master planning and urban development gained over the past 20 years. Edward has extensive experience in major sustainable mixed-use private and public developments throughout Australia, Asia and the United States. With a strong design background, and experience in the development, design management and delivery of complex integrated design teams, Edward’s prime focus is the design of sustainable city-scale projects.

Edward has lectured in architecture, housing affordability and urban design at University of Arizona, and the New School of Architecture, California. He is a past member of the RAIA National Education Committee, and has delivered papers in Australia, USA and Asia on design management, design alliances and Sustainable Design.

Awards received notably include those from the RAIA, API, AIA, and MBA.
