Interior Design

Today’s built environment presents subtle and complex challenges to design professionals. Designers can no longer view projects in terms of single dimension outcomes. Design evolves and encompasses elements of society, the environment, texture and feeling.

Our teams will work with you to create spaces that inspire, nurture and challenge. We’ll team with you across the full life cycle of your project: from concept to completion and beyond.

Design shapes what we desire and how we live. It drives the demand for resources and energy. As designers, we have an obligation to respond to these requirements and redirect our thinking and practices to produce buildings that are friendly to both people and our environment.

Interior concept design - HSBC

image

GHD, having worked with HSBC from our Doha office, was engaged to create a fresh interior concept for HSBC's partly owned Vietnamese banking group TelcomBank.

Fixtures that had been purely functional in the past such as enquiries and teller counters were transformed into sculptural elements constructed from vibrant and durable finishes. The company’s limited colour palette was used to create focal points and assist with navigation around the bank. The core idea of the floor plan is to provide a 'landing strip' and a place to be greeted. From the entry space the client can be directed to a relaxed waiting space, at which point they can select to visit the retail banking space or the intimate consulting office. Translucent red divides are used within the retail banking to create a friendly yet confidential area for clients to discuss their needs.
