Richard Hart

Richard has 30 years' forestry experience. He has a strong plantation and natural forest management background having managed hardwood and softwood plantations in tropical and cool temperate environments. He has managed large-scale plantation establishment programs in Australia and in Indonesia.

He also has considerable experience with resource scheduling, harvest planning and harvest management and has supplied forest produce into sawmills, ply/veneer mills and pulp mills. This experience includes mechanical and motor-manual operations in Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. He has been part of senior management teams in these forest industries and has a good understanding of the economics of wood supply and wood quality issues for processing facilities.

His forest management experience includes management of forests on private, crown and customarily-owned land, with forest tenure arrangements including corporate ownership and control, joint venture management, and customary ownership of forests. 

He has experience in the processes required to develop systems to assist forest operations to achieve legislative compliance and industry-leading forest management. His experience includes forest operations auditing and compliance reporting.
