Robert Virtue is a hydrogeologist with 20 years’ experience in
geological and hydrogeological investigations for major mining
companies, local, state and federal governments, and commercial and
industrial organisations. He has worked on projects throughout
Australia and in West Papua, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and
Oman. Robert has significant experience in mine-related
hydrogeology including modelling of mine inflows and impacts on
surrounding aquifers, assessment of waste rock and tailings
geochemistry and AMD/ARD potential, investigation and development
of groundwater supplies and design and assessment of groundwater
monitoring networks.
