GHD is currently assisting Transport for London (TfL) with
development of a business case to progress and implement the
company-wide Asset Information Management business management
Transport for London (TfL) is responsible for the operation of
London’s transport system, comprising public transport, main roads
and traffic lights, taxis and private vehicles. Every day the
transport system supports around 24 million journeys across the
TfL is continually striving to strengthen its asset management.
This includes internal business systems, the capabilities of TfL
engineers and the organisations ability to plan, invest, implement
and operate transport infrastructure effectively to meet current
and future transport service demands.
Over the years each area of TfL's business has developed
information systems formanaging different stages of the asset
lifecycle. Now, TfL wishes to implement a company-wide Asset
Management Information System. This business management system will
continually improve and optimise the application of information
technology for all asset management activities.
