Land & Asset Management

Share on:

Land is a scarce and valuable commodity, which along with the facilities resting upon it, form the key assets to many businesses.  Financially astute and environmentally conscious organisations are increasingly focussing on the management of these assets to increase both profitability and brand reputation.

It makes sound business sense for companies to manage their property and other assets effectively. Once production lines cease to be economic, or facilities reach the end of their design life, changes should be made to maximise returns. Property is a valuable asset which cannot meet its full potential as host to redundant facilities. Land is therefore recycled; old facilities are removed and new ones commissioned.

Land which has been impacted by contaminants frequently forms the unseen financial and environmental liability associated with developing, owning or operating facilities. Mounting commercial pressures, including the cessation of a number of tax incentives, meaning that stakeholders who are buying or remediating environmentally impaired sites face ever-increasing costs.

At GHD we work closely with our clients to maximise returns through the efficient use of their valuable assets. We provide an integrated and phased approach for the effective management of land and property, allowing our clients to quantify their risks and prioritise their actions.
