The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI)
contracted GHD to execute a significant brownfield redevelopment
project as part of the design and construction of an academic
campus in uptown Waterloo, Ontario. The property was formerly
occupied by a large distillery that operated for over 100
The project included the design and construction of an academic
campus on a 1.56 hectare property, which comprised the construction
of the CIGI Campus (a three-storey, 114,000 square foot building)
and upgrades to Father David Bauer Drive. GHD supported the
development of the master plan for the entire project.
