Brooker Highway Upgrade, Contract Administration

Share on:

GHD is playing a key role in helping Department of State Growth deliver highways upgrade across Tasmania. One of the keystone project involves the upgrade of the Brooker Highway.

GHD provided a team to administer the construction of a $32 Million upgrade of the Brooker Highway. The Brooker Highway carries the highest volumes of traffic in Tasmania, after Hobart's Tasman Bridge. The overall goal of the upgrade is to improve traffic flow and minimise peak-hour bottlenecks.

The GHD CA team worked with closely with the client, contractor and service utilities throughout the project to mitigate time delays with the many un located services that snaked its way along the main arterial.

Single mode approaches are no longer viable as governments and stakeholders recognise the need for multi-modal solutions across the whole integrated network.

Across the whole transport spectrum of airports, maritime, roads and highways, rail bridges and logistics, our team provides integrated transport services throughout the project lifecycle - from initial policy, transport planning, economics and business case advice, through concept, procurement, detailed design and construction to operations, maintenance and asset management.
