New Doha International Airport Duty Free Warehouses, Qatar

GHD was awarded the pre and post contract consultancy services for a proposed In-flight Duty Free Store & Duty Free Warehouse Facility at the New Doha International Airport, Qatar.

The design and build project was awarded to Zublin International Qatar and is planned for completion by December 2012.

The In-flight duty free store has a footprint of approximately 2,000 m² and is a ground floor warehouse used for storing in flight products to be sold on aircraft and is inclusive of limited office accommodation.

The duty free warehouse has a footprint of approximately 11,400 m² and is of structural steel framed construction on in-situ concrete foundations with steel composite mezzanine floors and proprietary roofing and cladding systems. It is intended to house a variety of goods for the Qatar duty free, prior to the goods being distributed to the main terminal building.

Project Description
