At a glance
AMP’s vision was to create a warm and inviting space that exudes a comfortable, residential feel. To achieve this, it was determined to break away from the outdated and clinical look and embrace a modern, earthy and laid-back aesthetic that reflects its brand.
The challenge
AMP and its subsidiary, AdviceFirst, faced significant challenges with its existing office layout, which was disjointed and resulted in team members being scattered across different floors. This physical and visual separation caused a noticeable division among staff, making it difficult for them to collaborate and communicate effectively. To address this issue and foster a greater sense of unity and cohesion, it became clear that a new space was needed.
Our response
We designed an open floor workplace focused on flexible working styles that enhances cross-team collaboration and communication. Meeting rooms and shared spaces are flexible and connected to allow for a wide range of meeting types, including audio visual conferencing.
Polished concrete flooring, textural black ceilings, strand board joinery and cladding, paired with pops of colour and innovative acoustic and lighting solutions, have brought its vision to life.
The well-appointed café incorporates banquette feature fabric and exquisite finishes which provide a familiar and relaxed environment.
The impact
The overall design has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from both visitors and staff, who have praised the stylish décor, creative planting and the addition of a fresh, modern kitchen. The outcome is a warm and inviting space, which exudes a comfortable and residential feel, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter.
