Our choices. Their future.
We embarked on a survey study to test the hypothesis that we run the very real risk of passing on to future generations a built and natural environment, climate, and quality of life that is inferior to what we are experiencing today. So, GHD asked: how can we course-correct and chart a path forward that leads to a positive, lasting legacy for all generations?
To answer these big questions, CROSSROADS was undertaken to look at the concept of infrastructure legacy through the lens of intergenerational equity.
Diving into one of the most pressing topics of our time: intergenerational equity.
Our North America Young Professionals (YP) panel discussion brought together some of GHD’s brightest to discuss the findings from the CROSSROADS report and how it influences the future of infrastructure and community building.
Who better to offer perspective than Gen Z and Millennials as they stand to inherit the results of our ability to build a more equitable and resilient future? Learn what they think about the CROSSROADS insights and their perspectives on the topic of creating a positive legacy for tomorrow.

I think we’re now past the notion of waiting politely for our turn for the torch to be passed. There’s no time to wait – we are running the race together, and it only makes sense that we are at the table with leaders and next-generation decision-makers. CROSSROADS highlights the importance of this idea.”
