GHD showcases global technical leadership on the Gold Coast
As South East Queensland enters one of the most significant infrastructure investment periods in its history ahead of Brisbane 2032, the Gold Coast will host more than 100 technical leaders from around the world.
Professional services company GHD is bringing together its engineers, architects, scientists, planners and project managers to its technical conference on the Gold Coast on 23-25 July, where they will explore the future of infrastructure, energy, climate resilience and artificial intelligence.
The attendees hail from across the company’s offices in the Asia Pacific, Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
The event comes as the Gold Coast’s State of the City report recently found the region is becoming a technologically advanced knowledge economy, outpacing the average economic growth of Australian capital cities since 2020.
“To shape the future of Queensland, there is a lot we can learn from the experience of other regions, cities and countries. Equally, Queensland is a valuable case study for major infrastructure and events globally,” says Malcolm Dixon, Regional General Manager – Queensland. “Our shared growth and infrastructure challenges will be the context for our discussions at GHD’s Technical Conference.”
“Our Technical Conferences have been a feature of GHD for many years. We bring our talented people together to collaborate, learn and share knowledge so we can bring innovative solutions to clients around the world,” says Jill Hannaford, Executive General Manager – Technical Services.
