GHD appoints new Regional General Managers to lead Sydney and Western Australia

Global professional services company GHD has announced the appointment of two new Regional General Managers in Australia, strengthening the company’s leadership team as they continue to grow and transform our business across the APAC region. 

Kate Day has been appointed as Regional General Manager for Sydney, bringing nearly 30 years of consulting experience, including 14 years with GHD in Sydney, to the role. Her primary focus in this new appointment will be supporting strategic growth initiatives, strengthening client relationships and continuing to deliver project excellence.

Kate brings a wealth of knowledge and proven experience as a key member of the Sydney Leadership Team since 2018. She has also played a pivotal role in enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and is known for her collaborative and inclusive leadership style.

Alex Wright has been appointed as Regional General Manager for Western Australia. This new role will see Alex lead continued growth in the region, driving business performance excellence and strengthening market presence.

With more than 20 years at GHD, Alex has served as Operations Manager in WA since 2020 and has held leadership roles across the business, including as Practice Director for GHD Digital. She has a strong presence within the WA market and industry, including holding the position of Deputy Chair of the Consult Australia WA Committee, and is recognised for her passion for collaboration, innovation and high performance.

Commenting on her appointment, Kate says "I'm excited to be stepping up to lead a great team in the Sydney Region as we move closer to GHD's 100th birthday and continue to evolve to meet the needs of clients and communities.
