New RGM appointments for GHD

Global professional services company GHD has appointed Simon Page as Regional General Manager – Northern New South Wales (NNSW) and Craig Palmer as Regional General Manager – Delivery Phase Services (DPS).

In his new role, Simon will lead more than 250 people in Newcastle and Northern NSW, including the Central Coast, Coffs Harbour, Hunter Valley, Port Macquarie, Tamworth and Orange, while Craig will lead a team of 100 people across Australia.

Simon has been with GHD for more than 17 years, honing his leadership credentials through a broad range of client-facing and operational roles including managing and executing infrastructure projects across diverse teams spanning Australia, Canada, and Pacific Nations.

Simon's core technical expertise centres around project and asset management, and he has successfully overseen a wide variety of projects catering to clients across all GHD markets. His experience extends to personnel and team management, with a strong focus on championing an inclusive workplace culture.

Craig Palmer brings extensive project management experience to his new role as DPS Regional General Manager, including more than 30 years' overseeing the delivery of high value mining, mineral processing, and power generation projects in Australia and overseas.

One of Craig's career highlights includes leading the delivery of a $750M AUD combined cycle power station in the inland Pilbara region of Western Australia. He spent several years as our WA Business Group Leader – Major Projects and was the initial Delivery Lead within the national Delivery Phase Services. More recently, Craig has been the Program Manager for a range of studies and projects supporting BHP Iron Ore's decarbonisation strategy.
