25 years in Gladstone: GHD marks local milestone as region looks ahead

Professional services company GHD recently marked its 25th anniversary in Gladstone at the Gladstone Engineering Alliance Major Industry, Energy and Manufacturing Conference 2026.

Since establishing a permanent presence in Gladstone in 2001, GHD has contributed to projects including Kirkwood Road Stage 3, the Awoonga Dam Flood Capacity Upgrade, Rookwood Weir and infrastructure supporting the Curtis Island LNG developments. Today, it employs 15 people  in its Gladstone office.

The milestone comes as Gladstone enters another period of industrial change, with investment in water and energy infrastructure supporting the region’s established industries alongside emerging opportunities in electrification, renewable energy and future fuels. The company says it is focused on improving safety, strengthening water security, supporting industry and employment, renewing essential assets, and helping create a more liveable region.
