GHD has sponsored a panel discussion which will take place on Tuesday 16th May at the Bury Theatre during the first day of UKREiiF. Moderated by the Institute of Place Management’s (IPM) Cathy Parker, the panel discussion will focus on ‘Transforming Transport and Futureproofing Infrastructure – Connecting Places, People and Business While Creating World Class Places to Live’, where panelists, including Andy Burnham, Mayor for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Caroline Harper, Chief Planning Director for Be First, and James Heath, Chief Executive of the National Infrastructure Commission, will discuss the current priority for investment and how to deliver maximum benefit for the population.

Of GHD's involvement, EMEA Future Communities Lead Steve Scott said:

“We are delighted to be a part of UKREiiF and have the opportunity to discuss in detail during the panel how we can build connected, resilient, productive and inspired communities here in the UK. As partners of the Institute of Place Management (IPM), we are eager to bring GHD’s local and international experience, and commitment to place, to help shape the future for British communities. We look forward to meeting our clients and industry partners at UKREiiF to develop new approaches and thought around sustainable placemaking, the role of infrastructure, and maximising the social outcomes for communities.”

Keith Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of UKREiiF, said:

“We’re looking forward to welcoming GHD to the annual UKREiiF event. GHD have almost 100 years of experience within their field so we’re expecting that their session on futureproofing infrastructure to be extremely beneficial to our delegation.”

Led by the UK’s leading property events company, Built Environment Networking, and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the second annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 16-18 May 2023. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
