GHD named design partner for Brisbane Stadium early works package
Global professional services company GHD has been announced as design partner alongside civil contractor BMD to deliver the Brisbane Stadium Early Works package at Victoria Park, helping prepare for a major milestone in Queensland’s delivery ahead of 2032.
Awarded by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA), the package marks an important phase in the delivery of Brisbane Stadium ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
GHD’s role includes providing multidisciplinary design and technical advisory support to help prepare the Victoria Park site for future stadium construction.

BMD Chief Executive Officer Scott Power said the project team’s focus was on careful, respectful delivery to help set the next stage of Brisbane Stadium up for success. “Our focus is on careful planning, strong collaboration with GIICA, the broader project team and the community, alongside our design partner GHD.” he said.
The stadium early works are due for completion by the middle of 2027.
